BDO Consulting and BDO Capital Advisors Honored for M&A Expertise

BDO Consulting and BDO Capital Advisors recently received industry recognition for excellence in their service areas from M&A Networks in its M&A Atlas awards. M&A Networks is a group that gathers leaders and pools knowledge about mergers and acquisitions through conferences and seminars. The awards honor top deals, sought-after dealmakers, outstanding organizations as determined by M&A Networks and business-building leaders from the mergers and acquisitions (M&A), turnaround and alternative investor communities.

BDO Consulting won the Accounting and Transaction Advisor of the Year award, while BDO Capital Advisors was nominated as a top-10 boutique investment bank. The awards were presented during a ceremony held at New York’s Waldorf Astoria Hotel.

BDO Consulting’s Accounting and Transaction Advisor of the Year award recognized BDOC for its financial due diligence work for transactions involving non-"Big Four" firms in 2010. Criteria included novelty and creativity in setting up deals, sector and market complexity, degree of involvement in the deal process, professional leadership, brand strength and resourcefulness.

Business Restructuring Services (BRS) Partner Kevin Kaden, who accepted the award on behalf of BDO Consulting, says, "It is a wonderful honor to be recognized for our contribution to the M&A industry. I am very proud of the BDO professionals who have committed themselves to the highest standard of transaction services."

BDO Capital Advisors nomination

For BDO Capital Advisors’ nomination as a top-10 boutique investment bank, Managing Director Jeffrey Manning was on hand to represent the group at the ceremony and served as a panelist in a discussion on North American deal trends. "It is an honor to be nominated in this category alongside other leading companies in the industry," says Manning. "We’re proud of the work we’ve done in the challenging environment of the past three years and look forward to continuing to work with BDO’s partners and the Alliance Network to offer effective capital market insight to the firm’s clients."

The M&A Atlas Awards exclusively honors top deals, deal-makers and firms from North and South American mid-market mergers and acquisitions communities. The program attracted 207 deal nominations from 41 unique firms worldwide. Finalists and winners were chosen by a group of independent advisors selected by M&A Networks.
